Beavers; Cubs tabbed in CJHL rankings; Rock Honourable Mention

TORONTO – There is a new No. 1-ranked club in the latest Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) Top 20 Rankings – Fuelled by Gatorade, announced Monday.

Moving to No. 1 nationally are the Ontario Junior Hockey League’s Collingwood Blues.

On a 17-1-0-0 heater so far in 2024, Collingwood boasts a 47-6-0-1 overall record while sporting a CJHL-best winning percentage of .880.

Another squad that has racked up 17 victories since January 1 is the Steinbach Pistons (MJHL), who are slotted No. 2 in the listings, which is compiled by an independent scouting service.

Currently topping the table in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, Steinbach sits with an overall mark of 41-7-3-0.

After an impressive 15-week run as No. 1 in the CJHL, the Flin Flon Bombers are tabbed No. 3 overall.

Despite a trio of defeats in their past four outings, Flin Flon still leads the way in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, having gone 41-6-2-0 so far this season.

Meanwhile, MJHL side, the Winkler Flyers, come in at No. 4 this week.

The Flyers are playing .790 hockey in the MJ and sport a mark of 37-8-2-3 and have a solid goals-for and against differential of 100 to their credit.

Wrapping up the Top 5 in the latest rankings are the Trenton Golden Hawks of the OJHL.

Heading into the final week of their regular season, Trenton has won 40 times, against just 11 losses in regulation, along with a tie and one overtime setback.
