Blind River Beavers Hockey Operations
Kyle Brick, Head Coach and General Manager
Kyle Brick started with the Blind River Beavers in 2016 and lead them to their first winning
season in multiple years. Brick guided the team to the NOJHL Championship Series and set the
franchise win record with 32. Brick was also named NOJHL Coach of the Year for his efforts.
Bricks success continues to grow in his tenure as Head Coach in Blind River as the Beavers were
NOJHL Regular Season Champs in 2023-2024 with Brick capturing his 2nd NOJHL Coach of the
Year Award.
Former Assistant Coach of the Soo Thunderbirds, Brick helped lead the team to back-to-back
regular season titles in 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 along with a Dudley Hewitt Cup
Championship and the club’s 2nd Royal Bank Cup appearance.
Dylan King, Assistant Coach
Dylan spent four years with the Soo Greyhounds of the OHL and had stints in the AHL and ECHL
with Allen, San Francisco and South Carolina, known as a fierce competitor and one of toughest
players of his generation, Dylan brings his intensity and knowledge of the game to the Beavers.
In his 9th year as an Assistant Coach with Blind River Dylan continues to develop young
defensemen and prepare them for hockey after junior.
Tyson Macleod, Assistant Coach
A Beaver Alumni, Tyson joined the team in the 2024-2025 season. Tyson’s hard-nosed style of
play and never quit attitude has proven to be a major asset to the team. Tyson brings a dynamic
blend of tactical insight, development expertise and a relentless passion to the ice. As an
Assistant Coach Tyson plays a pivotal role in developing game strategy, mentoring players and
fostering a culture for discipline and resilience.
Caleb Serre, Assistant Coach
From dominating the ice as league MVP to mentoring the next generation from behind the
bench, Caleb brings an elite-level experience and leadership to his role as Assistant Coach.
A Stand out forward during his playing career, Caleb earned MVP honors in 2019/2020, known
for his explosive speed, high hockey IQ, and clutch performance under pressure. His transition
to coaching was a natural evolution driven by a deep passion for the game.
Patrick Boivin, Assistant Coach
Former stand out Goalie for the Express, Beavers and Rock. Patty brings a high knowledge of
league experience and a passion for the goaltending position. In 2022/2023 Pat led the Timmins
Rock to a league championship and the Centennial Cup in Portage Manitoba.
Pat now channels his competitive edge and firsthand knowledge into developing goalies and
building a winning culture within the dressing room. His coaching style blends intensity with
accountability while pushing goalies to reach their potential.
Evan Fraccaro, Assistant Coach
Former Beaver Fraccaro played in Blind River from 2021-2024, A loyal two way forward who
spent time as a defender. Evan’s Hockey IQ made him one of the best special team players in
the entire NOJHL. Evan was also named Assistant Captain in his final year with the Beavers
Whether is breaking down film, working with special teams or giving guidance in the locker
room, Evan has graduated from reliable player to mentor.
Assistant General Manager, Craig Macdonald
Macdonald serves as the Assistant General Manager of the Beavers, where his strategic
mindset, deep hockey knowledge and commitment to player development help drive the
organizations success both on and off the ice. With a background of competitive hockey and
years of experience in hockey operations, Craig plays a key role in scouting, recruitment and
contract management. He works closely with the Head Coach to build a roster that reflects the
teams values, grit, growth and excellence
Skills Coach, Brett Findlay
After a long professional career with stints in the AHL,ECHL and the DEL, Brett has decided to
bring his extensive knowledge of the game to Blind River. A point producer by trade, Brett will
add valuable experience to both the Beavers skill set and special teams.
Trainer, Derrick Bates
With over 25 years of service as a front-line paramedic, Derrick is one of the best in the game.
In 2020 Derrick received the NOHA Trainer of the Year award for his efforts. Derrick continues
to provide quality care for the Beavers season after season.
