ELLIOT LAKE, Ont. – The Blind River Beavers rode the strength of a four-goal third period goals to help them drop the Elliot Lake Red Wings 6-3 Friday night in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League preseason opener at Centennial Arena.
In all, six different skaters scored for Blind River in the triumph, who trailed 2-1 after 20 minutes and were knotted at 2-2 through two periods of play.
Ryan Patton, Jesse Dupuis, Matt Green, Trevor Zimmer, Evan Fraccaro and Gavin Rocha all found the back of the net for the Beavers while Green and Kaden McArthur were credited with two assists apiece.
Connecting for Elliot Lake were Matthew Shulist, with a pair, and Cameron Dial.
