CALGARY, Alta. – Heading into the final week of January, a plethora of players within the 131-team Canadian Junior Hockey League are having strong offensive seasons for their respective clubs.
Entering game action Saturday, 47 forwards from across the CJHL have boasted point totals of at least 60 or more so far during the 2019-20 campaign.
Leading that group is Chantz Petruic of the Yorkton Terriers (SJHL), who is the first to surpass the 100-point plateau on the ice this season.
Petruic has already registered 101 points, in just 47 outings, including having a CJHL-best 54 goals to his credit.
Next is veteran center Caleb Serre of the Blind River Beavers (NOJHL) whose sensational year sees him having totalled 90 points in 43 contests to pace the pack in northern Ontario.
Out east, Brodie MacArthur of the Summerside Western Capitals (MHL) and William Bergeron of the Titan de Princeville (LHJAAAQ) are a pair of 87-point men to date while Kent Johnson of the Trail Smoke Eaters (BCHL) has racked up 85 points in British Columbia.
