NOJHL announces Blind River – Elliot Lake 1st round playoff series schedule

SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Wednesday the game schedule for the upcoming first round West Division quarter-final series between the Blind River Beavers and Elliot Lake Wildcats.

The entire best-of-three survivor play-in series will be staged at the Blind River Community Centre as the Wildcats home venue, Centennial Arena, remains closed.

Game 1 goes Friday, March 8 at 7 p.m. before the two sides meet again Sunday, March 10 in a 2 p.m. start.

Elliot Lake will serve as the home team for Game 2.

Should the match-up go the distance, Game 3 is slated for Monday, March 11 at 7 p.m.

The winner of this series will then take on the No. 1 seeded Soo Thunderbirds in a best-of-seven West Division semifinal affair, with that game schedule being announced once finalized.
