Cochrane humbles Blind River

BLIND RIVER, Ont. – The Cochrane Crunch struck for seven first period goals and never looked back as they went on to humble the Blind River Beavers 14-1 Saturday in a Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League contest at the Blind River Community Centre.

Tyler Minoletti had three of the Crunch tallies in the first with John Stevenson picking up a pair while Hunter Atchison and Alex Goulet supplied singles.

Cochrane then connected four times in the middle session thanks to Dustin Cordeiro, Evan Akkerman, Jeran Knorr and Jon Marzec.

They finished off the night with markers from Cordeiro, Akkerman and a fourth by Minoletti in the third.

Cole Murray picked up the lone Blind River goal on the night in the third with Max Khull and Jay Sidhu picking up assists.

Allan Menary picked up the win in net for the Crunch.

Martin Miloslavich and Tyler Ryan both saw time in goal for the Beavers in defeat.
