SUDBURY, Ont. – The Blind River Beavers of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) have announced that goaltender Justin Sullivan has committed to attend school at NCAA Division III Southern New Hampshire University where he’ll play for the Penmen’s hockey program.
Hailing from New Richmond, Que., the 20-year-old Sullivan saw the second-most minutes of game action in the NOJHL in the 2025-26 season at 1,875.
In 30 appearances with the Beavers he posted an overall record of 9-16-0-1 for Blind River and registered one shutout.
Facing the third-highest shots-against total in the league at 1,280, Sullivan’s .904 save percentage for the club tied him for eighth in the NOJHL.
In 24 of his overall appearances in league action, which included five earlier on with the Iroquois Falls Storm, the netminder made 30, or more, saves in a contest, featuring 11 games with 40-plus stops.
Seeing time in net in 61 career NOJHL games, Sullivan faced more than 2,200 pucks fired his way in 3,250 minutes of time between the pipes.
“Sully gave us a chance to win every night he played and we have no doubt he will have success at this level as well,” said Beavers’ head coach and general manager Kyle Brick.
“We’re excited to see him further his education and continue on in his hockey career,” added Brick.
Located in Manchester, NH, the SNHU Penmen compete in the six-school NCAA D-III Northeast 10 Conference.
