At the October 25th home game against the Soo Thunderbirds, the Beavers also held their edition of Pink on the Rink. While the players sported pink laces and tape, the coaching staff were decked out in pink hats, complements of our scorekeeper, Anna Cyr and Game Night Coordinator, Linda Makela.
Along with the donation can in the lobby, the Beavers were selling raffle tickets on a pink ribbon blanket, generously donated by former Board Member, Mary Ellen Morningstar. All proceeds from this draw is being sent to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, along with the Blind River Minor Hockey donation, which was raised during their games earlier in the day.
Please note: although the winning ticket for the blanket was drawn during the game, it has not yet been claimed. The ticket number is posted on our bulletin board in the lobby.
